CrisisLink is looking for empathetic, non-judgmental and caring volunteers to answer our suicide and crisis prevention hotline calls.
Our highest shift coverage needs are during weekday hours; we are looking for volunteers to cover a weekly 3-hour shift sometime between 6 AM and 5 PM on weekdays, between 9 PM and 2 AM on weeknights, or during weekend hours.
Our volunteers are committed to saving lives and preventing tragedies. Last year, we handled over 40,000 calls. The percentage of callers who are suicidal and in crisis continues to increase.
Thanks to our highly trained volunteers, our crisis and suicide prevention hotlines operate 24/7 to support individuals facing a life crisis or suicide, and connects them to community resources, empowering individuals to help themselves.
The next training sessions begin in August or October, 2014.
Applicants are subject to a screening process, background check, and interview.
We are scheduling Interview Sessions now, so contact us to request your application today!
