Our volunteers have the opportunity to meet our clients and listen to their crisis situation, offerring encouraging words, and a go forward plan in a Christian atmosphere. In 2014, we assisted 5,375 individuals, of which 578 were single parents, 1994 children, and 278 homeless. WE COULD NOT ASSIST OUR NEIGHBORHOOD WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS (40-50 per week). Our volunteers work as receptionist, counselors, data entry, clothes sorting, clothes & furniture sales, food and furniture deliveries (truck drivers), pantry workers, public speakers, photography, Facebook updates, Board Members, grant writing, gardening(community garden),and marketing. We welcome community service, retirees, individuals out for the summer, students/interns, and anyone looking for an opportunity to help others. Some volunteer work can be done from your home or on your own time as grant writing, marketing, Facebook updates, and public speaking. Come out Monday-Friday 9am-4pm, meet Angela Darby our Volunteer Coordinator, and tour our facility. 985-646-0357.
