Position Description

Children's Home and Aid is seeking a hard-working college student who is interested in pursuing a career at a non-profit organization to assist with development tasks and fundraising events to further the mission of Children's Home and Aid.

Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with special event planning, marketing, and implementation
• Help with communication and media awareness in the community and on social media
• Effectively enter data and properly utilize the program Raiser’s Edge
• Aid with the cultivation of donors and sponsors
• Help supervisor with daily operational tasks

Qualifications

• Currently a college Sophomore, Junior, or Senior majoring in Communication, Marketing, Business, or Non-Profit Management
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills
• Shows a commitment to the organization’s mission, values, and ethical standards

Time Commitment

A firm commitment of at least 5 hours a week is required. The internship may be completed for academic credit, but this is not required. This is an unpaid internship.

Additional Requirements

• A current physical and TB test
• A fingerprinting background check
