The Eastgate Woodlands is a beautiful natural area set in between the Willamette river and a neighborhood on the very west end of Springfield. Like many natural areas in an urban setting it suffers from an attack of invasive plant species like blackberries and Ivy! In order to keep the area beautiful and safe for all species we will start having Ivy pulling and cutting parties regularly throughout each season. Please join us in this fun way to give back and keep our woodlands thriving!

Description
Willamalane Park and Recreation District maintains and operates seven recreation facilities and 44 parks and natural areas that make up more than 1,500 acres. Highlights include Splash! at Lively Park, Camp Putt Adventure Golf Park, Wildish Community Theater, 13 waterfront areas, 21 miles of hiking and biking trails, 15 sports fields and 24 playgrounds. Willamalane offers hundreds of recreation programs to more than 60,000 patrons. Created by voters in 1944, Willamalane is a special tax district, separate from the city of Springfield, with its own boundaries. It is governed by a five-member, elected board of directors and managed by a district superintendent. Online information is available at willamalane.org
