Advocacy at the Walk to End Alzheimer's
Our Advocacy volunteers will be recruiting advocates by asking each participant at the Walk to sign a postcard to their Senator, asking him to continue to support a strong, accountable Alzheimer's National Plan, to ensure Alzheimer’s disease research is a priority at the National Institutes of Health, and to strengthen federal programs serving people living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. Volunteers will walk up to groups of Walkers--typically waiting in line for photographs or milling around the common area. A script is provided, and training will be provided on the script upon arrival.
We are asking all Advocacy volunteers to arrive no later than 7:00 am in order to attend a brief training session and pick-up a t-shirt.
