Cancer Resource Center Volunteers work with patients to provide them with free resources such as wigs, programs, support groups, cancer information and other valuable materials.
This is a very rewarding role assisting cancer patients in our community.
Our Cancer Resource Center is at the following facility:
Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada - Renown Institute for Cancer
- We ask for a minimum 4 hours per week.
- All interested volunteers will shadow a volunteer on-site for 1-2 hours before going through the training
- All volunteers must complete a training. The training provides you with everything you need to know to work with and assist patients.
- You must also satisfy all hospital orientation requirements.
- Volunteers need to be available at least 4 hours on a weekday between 9:00am and 4:00pm.
