Alzheimer's Association is need of 15 volunteers for the Dementia Safety Conference on Friday, August 22,2014.
Date of the event: Friday, August 22, 2014 Time of the event: 7:45 am - 2:30 pm Location: Ramada Plaza Convention Center, 3321 S. 72nd Street, Nebraska Rooms A, B, and C and the Omaha Foyer. Parking: Park on the Northwest side of the building.VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR DEMENTIA CARE CONFERENCE:
2 Shifts Available:
First Shift: 6:00am-11:00am (need 9 volunteers)
Volunteer responsibilities for Shift 1 include but are not limited to:- Posting signs
- Help vendors set up stations
- Parking lot attendant
- Registration
- CEU table attendant
- Set up break out rooms
- Compile remaining conference folders
- Greeters at all entrances
- Break-out session moderators
- In-between session clean up
- Exhibitor room attendant
- Other duties assigned
A complimentary continental breakfast will be provided.
Dress code: business casual (khaki pants or slacks and polo shirts)
Second Shift: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM (need 6 vounteers)
Volunteer responsibilities for Shift 2 include but are not limited to:- Set up in-between session clean up
- Lunch clean up
- CEU table attendants
- Pass out/collect evaluations
- Exhibitor room attendant
- Helping vendors load cars at close
- Taking down signs
- Cleaning up rooms
- Other duties assigned
A complimentary lunch will be provided.
Dress code: business casual (khaki pants or slacks and polo shirts)

Description
Since 1982, the Nebraska Chapter has provided education, information and support to individuals afflicted with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and other dementias. Alongside 78 other Chapters and our Home Office in Chicago, we promote research for the prevention, cure, and treatment of AD. This mission is carried out by increasing concern and awareness, advancing public policy, enhancing care and support options, accelerating research, and growing revenue.
