Whoot Whoot, yea buddy, it's that time again! The Mid America Chapter is excitied for another great ride. This year's KC BIKE MS will be held on September 13th & 14th, 2014 at Garmin in Olathe KS. The Administration team needs your help, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us out in various stages of the event preparation of the event including the day of the event. The Day of the event has (2) asks, one call time would be bright and early, 5AM, on site at Garmin and the second call time is at 9:00am back at the KC Chapter office for processing and data entry. Description
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. The Mid America Chapter serves 159 counties in Kansas and Missouri.
Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers two key fundraising activities: Bike MS, and Walk MS Walk. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
