A Family Room is a scaled down version of a Ronald McDonald House placed inside of a medical facility. In June 2013, we opened our Family Room inside WVU Children’s Hospital. This room allows visitors of patients to grab a snack, take a shower, and rest for a moment while still being just steps away from the children receiving care.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room in located on the 6th floor of Ruby Memorial Hospital. The Family Room needs volunteers to maintain front desk and light cleaning duties. Please call 304-598-0050 for more information!

The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.
Description
Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its programs are grassroots-driven to enable the Charity to offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which help in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have awarded more than $460 million in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
