Sammie's Friends needs your help. Sales benefit our animal friends at the shelter who count on the compassion and generosity of volunteers to make their lives a little easier. If you have a love of animals and time to share with this wonderful organization consider this volunteer opportunity. Sammie's Nifty Thrift Shop is looking for team members that can sort and price merchandise. This is the perfect volunteer position for someone who loves to organize and prepare quality merchandise for the customer. Days Needed: Monday through Saturday Time: 10:00-1:30 or 1:30 -5:00 pm Skills required: Must be able to stand for 3.5 hour shift. Some light lifting is required (15-20 pounds).

Make a Difference in Your Community!
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
