The Hickman Friends Senior Community of West Chester is seeking outgoing and energetic volunteers for its 2014 Art of Caring Street Festival event on Saturday, September 27, to serve in shifts between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (time will vary depending on task, but no single shift will be longer than four hours). Tasks include serving as event ambassadors (this includes providing directions and answering any other guests’ questions), assisting with vendor table set-up and/or clean-up, assisting with signage set-up/removal, and picking up litter/recyclable items as needed. Volunteers may be asked to attend a brief informational session during the week prior to the event, depending on task. All volunteers will receive free refreshments as well as the gratitude of the residents, staff and friends of The Hickman.
