Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life? Pioneer Human Services’ Roadmap to Success Mentoring Program may be just the opportunity for you. The mentoring program works with men and women integrating back into their communities after being incarcerated and/or people recovering from chemical dependency issues. Quality time spent with one of Pioneer’s trainee’s can help to improve their career outlook, self-esteem, decision-making skills and help rebuild relationships. Mentors spend a minimum of two hours per month face-to-face with their mentee in addition dedicating one hour of follow-up via telephone or email communication for a six month commitment. Volunteers for the Roadmap to Success Mentoring Program must be 21 years of age or older, and be able to pass a background check. Applicants need to complete an orientation training prior to being matched with a mentee. All mentors receive ongoing support from Pioneer during their volunteer commitment.
