We are seeking volunteers who are fluent in English and an Asian language (ie. Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, Punjabi, Japanese, Tagalog, Indonesian, Burmese, etc.) to become advocates for Asian Pacific American women who need support and services as a result of domestic violence. Volunteers will need to go through a Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Training through one of the local shelters or agencies, ie. Rape Crisis Center, Safe Nest, or S.A.F.E. House. Some training is also available through webinars. References and application required. Paid training is available. Once trained and accepted, advocates are independent contractors and paid on an as-needed basis of $15/hour.
