The KORUS Festival, one of Greater Washington DC’s premier community events put on by the Korean American Association of Washington Metropolitan Area (KAAW). A celebration of the Korean American way of life, Korean heritage & culture, and the beauty of America’s diversity. The event features modern and traditional music and cultural performances, demonstrations, Korean cuisine, and much more.

The 2015 KORUS Festival is positioned to be an even greater success through its partnership with The Plaza at Tysons Corner Center, a nationally-known and centrally-located venue in the heart of Northern Virginia. Visitors can arrive at the 1.5 acre elevated outdoor facility by public transportation (bus or metro’s silver line), or park in the plaza’s ample parking garage.

With close to 30,000 visitors and participation from over 50 vendors, retailers, and community groups; 20 performance artists; and more than 100 volunteers, the festival truly represents the Korean American community nationwide

The KORUS Festival would not be possible without volunteers like you! It is run solely by volunteers who have an interest and passion for Korean culture.

KAAW is proud to announce that we have been approved as a Certifying Organization for earning service hours when you volunteer for any KAAW event! See our website for more details.
