This summer, Namanu will celebrate its 90th year of immersing children from across the Northwest (and the globe) in the joys of a classic summer camp. From 12-8:30 on September 6, Camp Fire will welcome hundreds of former campers and the public back to Namanu to formally celebrate the 90th anniversary. The extravaganza will feature live music from Portland favorite Ants in the Kitchen, food from some of Portland's most popular food carts, and traditional camp activities, like swimming, paddle boats, trail rides on horseback, ropes course adventures and family-friendly games.
Volunteers will be provided free admission and food at the event and will be asked to help with the logistics of greeting, parking, and other event functions, or to work on any of the fun activities listed above. Best of all, volunteers will get to spend a day at beautiful Camp Namanu. When you sign up through volunteer match, the Camp Fire events coordinator, Katie Frederick, will be in touch with further details and a preference sheet for you to fill out.
