Life's WORC is a not for profit Agency that provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. We run recreational programs(art, music, recreation) in our Family Center for Autism after school hours during the week and on weekends. We are seeking volunteers to assist with reception, program set-up and clean-up as well as engagement of the participants. Many of our volunteers gain valuable experience in the field and can use the experience to assist with school requirements and to obtain employment.
If you are interested and can volunteer on Saturdays in our Creative Arts program from 11am - 1pm then we look forward to hearing from you. We are also seeking volunteers for Wednedays, 4pm - 6pm.

Description
Life's WORC is a human service agency advocating for the rights and well being of individuals with developmental disabilities, mental retardation and autism.
Through person centered planning, the organization provides residential services, family supports and 13 non-residential community based programs throughout Queens, Nassau and Suffok Counties.
Programs and services include homes in local communities, Day Habilitation, Weekend Respite Recreation, After School Creative Arts and Music Therapy, Case Management, In-Home Residential Habilitation just to name some of our programs.
