One of our most popular programs is our Movie & Pizza Night program. Our Movie & Pizza Nights are simply a $25 gift certificate for pizza delivery and a one-month membership to Netflix or Red Box along with pj’s and snacks. This is a great activity when families first join Casey Cares as they are homebound due to their child's treatment for their critical illness. Often, we will call a new family and offer them tickets to an event like the circus or a baseball game, their families sadly can’t take advantage of the opportunity. Many are unable to leave their homes because their child is too sick to venture out or their child has such a compromised immune, unable to be in crowds for fear that they will catch a cold or the flu which can be extremely dangerous early in treatment.

That is why this Movie and Pizza Night is so great! We will send them dinner, entertainment, pajamas for all of the children and even snacks to be enjoyed in their house. Having that gift arrive at their doorstep means so much to families that are feeling very overwhelmed and sometimes quite disheartened.

Our biggest need for our Movie & Pizza Night Kits are the gift certificates for delivery pizza and Netflix or Red Box gift cards. Specifically, $20 pizza delivery gift cards and $10 movie rental gift cards. Groups, clubs, companies and individuals have organized drives for us in the past, with over 600 families active in our programs; we can use all of the help we can get! As a fun team building exercise, some groups have collected snacks and even packaged them in fun containers that they purchased at the dollar store!
