Homes for American Heroes is seeking volunteers to help us at Honor Point Village, and our main office. You can see first hand how your assistance is helping families of US Veterans and the veterans themselves. To date the backlog for VA Claims of disability is over a 18 month process. Many of these veterans cannot work due to thier injuries. These families need help and our facility provides them with the family housing that they need.
Make a awesome diffrence is thier lives and come and volunteer.

Is to seek out and assist our post 9/11 military veterans that are need of a helping hand. Their needs are great, from housing for their family, to making a home accessible for those veterans that due to their sacrifice have special needs. In our countries hour of need, they answered the call to defend our freedom.
Description
Homes for American Heroes is a community based organization that is here to help our nation's heroes. Our success is based upon motivated members of the community that have joined together to help those that have answered our countries call are during its hour of need. We partner with citizens, corporations, and business alike to provide a helping hand to those veterans that are in need. Our veterans face a shortage of affordable housing, coupled with a severe decline in employment opportunities for our returning veterans. Most returning veteran's families are at, or are near poverty levels. It is well documented from the Department of Labor that our veterans face an up-hill battle in finding employment. The current housing market as well as the job market has most veterans spending most of their income on shelter. There are untold numbers of veteran's families that lack for safe, decent affordable housing. Homes for American Heroes forms a partnership and bond between those that can help and those veterans that need our help.
