Marketing and Social Media Volunteer

For six months (with a one month trial period)

Main purpose of the role

The role of Marketing and Social Media volunteer will be to assist the staff in promoting Posimoto Changing Faces mentoring and educational activities to the community of Tampa.

The activities also include identify, implement and coordinate effective methods to increase the number of kids in our programs.

You will identify and contact communication channels regarding publicity opportunities. Coordinate/write articles for publication in local newspapers.

The Marketing and Social Media volunteer will be working alongside staff members throughout program.

Person specification

• Someone creative, committed and proactive.
• With some experience of marketing and social media, either through education, work or volunteering.
• Is familiar with using social media and other online tools to generate interest.
• Is an excellent communicator.
• Is able to write clearly, accurately and succinctly.
• The role would suit a new undergrad or graduate from a business, marketing or communication course or a more experienced marketer who is looking to gain experience in a new field. Experience is preferred but not required

Hours

An hour or two each day to make up one day per week, and every other Saturday of the month. Flexible with time: we envisage spending a short time each day (although not necessarily every day) updating social media channels and planning marketing strategies. The volunteer will also be expected to attend some of our programs to develop a report on them.
