Sharing the Harvest Community Farm donates 100% of the produce grown to local hunger relief initiatives in southeastern Massachusetts and operates solely on the work of volunteers. STH volunteers help in all aspects of the farm including, but not limited to: seeding, transplanting, cultivating, harvesting and many other farm-related tasks.
We welcome all ages, group sizes, and experience levels, and appreciate any help from one time visits to weekly (sometimes even daily) commitments. Volunteers who are particularly invested in the farm and come reliably have the opportunity to take on the role of a Volunteer Leader and help to guide new volunteers and visitors.
With your help we provided 82,000 lbs of fresh food to hunger relief efforts in 2014, please visit us again in 2015 and help us make an impact on hunger on Massachusetts' south coast!

Description
Sharing the Harvest is a volunteer-driven community farm established in 2006 as a grassroots effort to fight hunger and help feed our neighbors in need. Thanks to the help of the Hunger Commission, donors and thousands of volunteers, we donate 100% of our produce and cage-free eggs to local hunger relief programs in New Bedford, Fall River and Wareham.
In the past eleven seasons, 20,749 volunteers have worked over 51,431 hours to plant, harvest and donate 453,570 pounds of food. That equals 2,845,975 servings of fresh food to our neighbors inneed!
Sharing the Harvest also provides hands-on educational opportunities for volunteers to confront the reality of hunger in our community. Our fields serve as an outdoor classroom for learners of all ages. We are proud to offer free service learning field trips.
