Hello Book lovers and Readers!
Our organization is looking for readers to read aloud to our terminally ill and elderly patients! Our patients enjoy bedside reading as it provides mental stimulation and companionship.
If you love to read aloud with enthusiasm, then this is a great place for you to volunteer. Our organization will provide reading material that best fits you and the patient(s).
Our book donations come from Barnes and Nobles, local bookstores and Comic Book stores as well.

Mission Statement
Hospice Volunteer Training is a program where we select qualified persons who can fit well with patients who have a terminal illness through several organizations. We match volunteers to Hospices where they will excel the most. We offer training and orientation, continued education for all volunteers, certificates of completion and excellence. Whether volunteers are students trying to gain experience or if you just want to give back to the community. We hope that we find individuals who can successfully achieve their goals and provide helpful assistance to Hospice organizations within the Los Angeles County.
Description
Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness and help their families caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospice also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fund raising, community outreach and other operational areas.
