The Southern New England Team is looking for new volunteers, there are many opportunities:

1. Hosting: Work with students who come from abroad, in one time opportunities or regular monthly interractions. Help identify host families through attending events, reaching out to personal and professional networks.

2. Sending: Work with students that are going abroad, help conduct interviews, conduct presentations on studying abroad, engage with orientations for student preparing to study abroad.

3. Volunteer Development: Help find creative ways to engage our team, work with social media, help to recruit and retain volunteers.

We have many one time opportunities as well as ongoing involvement opportuntiies depending on your interests.

AFS-USA (formerly the American Field Service), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is a leader in intercultural learning and offers international exchange programs in more than 40 countries around the world through independent, nonprofit AFS Organizations, each with a network of volunteers, a professionally staffed office, and headed up by a volunteer board.

We’ve been exchanging students throughout the world for 65 years. That’s six decades of history and experience in international education with an exemplary record of safety, security, and service to students, parents, and educators.
