Help us make lunches for 2000 needy children this summer!

Volunteers and donors such as companies and organizations needed to help us make 2000 lunches for needy children this summer

We have committed to a Monday menu for all of July

Menu:

PB&J sandwich, a salty snack, a fruit snack, 100% juice box or bottled water.

Ideas for "salty snacks" include pretzels, chips, cheese crackers or peanut butter

Ideas for fruit snacks include fresh fruit, dried fruit, apple sauce or fruit cups.

Donors can drop off donations at Scotty's Thrifty Storage, 3120 Medlock Bridge Rd, Suite 100, Building K (in the rear of the business park), Norcross, GA

We will be meeting at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church Activities Center, 85 Mt. Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 on July 12th and July 26th from 11:30am to 2:30pm. We will be putting together the lunches.

Donations will be accepted on these days/times.

Our goal is to provide supportive services to homeless women and children and partner with the community at large to help better their lives.

Description

Lift Up Atlanta, Inc. is a volunteer organization that provides basic care, recreational activities, hot meal programs etc. for homeless women and children. We also help feed the hungry with food drives and providing meals.

We partner with other non profit organizations to provide toys at Christmas, seasonal food baskets, furniture move-ins for the homeless, summer lunch programs for kids, back packs/school supplies for kids etc..

Our ultimate goal is provide transitional housing for homeless women and children and a resource center so that they can get all the services that they need to empower them to have a much better life.
