The Community volunteer assists with area Girl Scout troop leadership in the delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. He or she works in an administrative volunteer capacity and is the voice of Girl Scouting in the community, extending opportunities for participation to all girls and adults interested in becoming a part of the Girl Scout Movement. Duties include meeting coordination, recruitment, public speaking, member relations, retention, volunteer management and recognition, events and family outreach.
Positions available:
Service Unit (Area) Managers 5-10 hours average monthly throughout year.
Service Unit (Area) Product Sales Coordinator 5-10 hours during product program duration.
Service Unit (Area) Girl Scout Cookie Coordinator 5-10 hours during cookie campaign duration.
Service Unit (Area) Treasurer 2-5 hours monthly
Service Unit (Area) Membership Recruiter 5-7 hours montly
Service Unit (Area) Event/Program Coordinator varies on event/program offerings

Girl Scouting serves over 7,000 members in Miami Dade and Monroe Counties in troops, groups , series, events, travel, camping and virtual pathways. Volunteers are the strength of the organization.
Volunteer involvement is needed to inspire courage, confidence and character in small groups and programs.
Group facilitators and leaders needed for small groups and troops of girls year round.
