Website Admin Intern/Volunteer

We are a Massachusetts-based non-profit Organization that works with organizations and individuals in United States and around the world to support local leaders and charities in Africa to build effective and sustainable programs in areas of education, health care, nutrition and food security, and economic empowerment to promote interests of marginalized groups - orphans, vulnerable children, women and the youth. Face of Hope International exists to build sustainable programs that advance education, healthcare and economic empowerment to transform the lives of underprivileged children & families around the world

The ideal candidate for this position should have experience in web design, website maintenance, and creative and appreciate the value of volunteerism as a means of creating social change. We are committed to transforming communities through giving a hand to the neediest in our communities in areas of education, health services, micro-economic empowerment for youth and women, nutrition and elderly services.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Liaising with the Director of communication and the Events Manager/Coordinator ensure that up-to-date events/activities are displayed on the website

• Liaising with the Communications department, assist in seeking and providing up-to-date relevant information for the website, particularly information pertaining to FHI’s projects.

• Liaise with FHI’s field office in Uganda to get current media files - videos, photos and upload on the website accordingly to keep our partners and donors engaged.

• Ensuring that organizational activities are updated and displayed on the website

• Ensuring that relevant up-to-date information and links to our social media accounts are maintained at all times

• Ensure that tasks given are loaded on the website within specified timeframe

• Offer advice/suggestions for improving the website’s content and structure

• Other administrative tasks and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the communication department

The applicant should have interest in working with nonprofits that are committed to social change, knowledge of web development and design, website optimizing, strong professional communication skills, detail orientated with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks, knowledge of social media platforms and how they operate is a plus.
