Every year, the YWCA Princeton's Breast Cancer Resource Center hosts a huge event called "In the Pink" which is a fashion show and silent auction to help women live through and beyond breast cancer. This year's event is on October 2 and will be the 11th anniversary of the fashion show.
We are looking for creative volunteers to help our "Silent Auction Team" come up with items that would be appealing to our guests to bid on, and then call or visit locations in the area to put together such items. This is a very fun volunteer job, but one that requires someone who has strong people skills, likes to talk to others, and who would be willing to speak on the BCRC's behalf.
If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Nina Magariello, Volunteer Coordinator, at nmagariello@ywcaprinceton.org

Mission Statement
YWCA Princeton is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women.
Description
The mission of the YWCA Princeton is to eliminate racism and empower women. Everything we do is intended to be true to this purpose.
More than 5,000 members take advantage of our programs and services: from child care, after-school care, and summer camps to dance, art and crafts and book clubs; from educational lectures and seminars to aquatics, martial arts and wellness classes.
Our mission to eliminate racism is highlighted by our English as a Second Language program and our multi-lingual nursery school, as well as our annual "Stand Against Racism," which has been replicated by YWCAs across the country.
Our mission to empower women is the hallmark of our Breast Cancer Resource Center, which provides help, hope and ongoing support for breast cancer survivors, and their families and caregivers.
Every day, we encourage women and girls to become volunteers, mentors, thinkers, and leaders. As we put our mission into action, the Friends of the YWCA lead the charge to allocate eighty-five cents of every dollar we raise to the women and families of our communities.
