- What a rare opportunity to assist with such an international event with over 90 countries represented! Event is similar to the Olympics.
- Ushers will greet and assist international contestants from over 90 countries as they attend the World Shoot Closing Awards Ceremony/Dinner at the Lakeland Center on Sunday, Oct. 19th at 6 p.m.
- Assignments are for Adults only and will involve a lot of standing/walking within the banquet hall.
- Being bi-lingual is not a requirement, however we are interested in identifying individuals who are bi-lingual, and the languages they speak.
- NOTE: Register NOW as would like to have volunteer recruitment complete by close of July 2014! There will be a required Vol Orientation/International Etiquette Training for this assignment for August 2014. Details to be announced - a couple of times/days options will be available for the Lakeland or Auburndale area.
- As a thank you gift, Ushers will be provided with a t-shirt, however given that this is a formal Black-Tie event are asked to wear black dress slacks/skirt and white shirts/blouses instead.
- Ushers will also receive a complimentary meal (due to seating limitations - in a separate dining area) and will be provided with seating for the awards program and entertainment.
- 20 Ushers are needed.
- Event is being coordinated through Polk County Tourism & Sports Marketing of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners.
