- What a rare opportunity to assist with such an event!
- Assist with greeting & registering olympic-type competitors from 90 countries who will be arriving for a pre-event competitor check-in at the Lakeland Center.
- The event, World Shoot, is an international handgun competition that will actually take place elsewhere in the county on a different day.
- Assignments are for Adults only.
- Due to the diverse range of countries that will participate - prefer bi-lingual vols in English & another language such as: American Sign Language, Spanish, German, French, Russian, Italian, etc. (Take your pick - 90 countries!) - however, it is not a requirement.
- NOTE: Register NOW as would like to have volunteer recruitment complete by close of July 2014! There will be a required Vol Orientation/International Etiquette Training for this assignment for August 2014. Details to be announced - a couple of times/days options will be available for the Lakeland or Auburndale area.
- Volunteers will be provided with a t-shirt, lunch and refreshments during their service to this particular event.
- Volunteers will be asked to welcome participants as they arrive.
- Volunteers will be asked to assist participants with directions at the Lakeland Center.
- Volunteers will be asked to distribute Welcome bags to participants.
