ORGANIZATION: National MS Society

Come volunteer and hang out with us at the front reception desk. Meet new people and make a difference!

Qualifications: Knowledge and well-proven skills in organization and customer service. Must possess a positive attitude toward all concerned parties and communicate effectively.

Duties:

  • Professionally administer all incoming calls.
  • Ensure phone calls are redirected accordingly.
  • Greet and assist clients, volunteers and other guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
  • Distribute literature and provide information on Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Open and close visitor area (locking doors, closing blinds, turning off lights).

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Communicates easily with people in all levels of an organization with previous experience working for a senior executive.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.

The South Central Region, headquartered in Houston, TX is made up of five states: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas, and New Mexico.

Seeking out and engaging volunteers to join the movement is at the very core of our organization.

We engage volunteers at every level. Join an event committee, volunteer at a walk or bike event, advocate at the capitol, volunteer at our office, no matter how you choose to contribute, you are doing something about MS now!

The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.

We are always looking for volunteers who want to share their time and talent to help stop MS!
