ORGANIZATION: Raleigh Parks Volunteer Services Program

The Chargers Teen Volunteer Program offers a volunteer opportunity for teens, ages 13 through 16, to participate in park beautification projects within the Raleigh Parks System. Participants will be able to engage in fun, educational activities that address important environmental issues at several local parks. The program focuses on the importance of community service and a teen’s contribution to the Raleigh community. The program is limited to the first 15 who register. A minimum of 2 staff will be on site with the teens.

Two volunteer projects will take place on Wednesday, July 23 and 30 from 8:30am-12:00pm. A mandatory orientation for all participants and a parent/guardian will take place on Tuesday, July 22 from 6:00-7:00pm at Carolina Pines Community Center, located at 2305 Lake Wheeler Road. Interested individuals may register for one or both projects.
