The Intake Clinician volunteer will conduct psychosocial interviews using intake and assessment tools provided, with clients who wish to reeive services at GMHC.
Duties & Responsibilities:
*Assess the need for emergency mental health interventions and refer accordingly
*Meet the concrete needds of clients presenting with single-issue problems, such as the completion of HASA applications or medical provider referrals
*Ensure referral and informational resources are up-to-date and relect revelant information
*Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines at the end of Intake
*Create a welcoming and professional environment for all staff, volunteers, interns, and clients presenting at GMHC and embrace the values and mission of GMHC
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work or equivilent experience in counseling required
