A CAC is a volunteer that operates under Hamilton Community Health Center in which the Marketplace has designated to carry out certified application counselor duties and services. CACS are not responsible for conducting public education activities.
They are responsible for providing information in a manner that is accessible to individuals with disabilities.
CACs are to provide free, fair, accurate, and impartial information to consumers about the full range of insurance affordability programs (e.g.,Medicaid) and coverage options.
CACs are to assist consumers in applying for insurance affordability programs through the Marketplace and Healthy Michigan (Medicaid Expansion). Help facilitate enrollment in insurance affordability programs.

Description
Hamilton Community Health Network is a network of health and dental clinics that offer a sliding scale fee for service based on a patient's income. Hamilton reaches out to the community to assist in providing a plethora of healthcare related services including helping the public antiquate to the new Affordable Care Act by educating the public on different forms of healthcare coverage and assisting them in attaining coverage for themselves and their families. In addition, Hamilton aids in getting food and clothing to the impoverished and the homeless by hosting and attending many local charitable events throughout Genesee County.
