The following are the explicit duties of Vice President:

  • Preside at all board meetings of the FSC-PS CF in the absence of the President.
  • Represent the FSC-PS CF at meetings/conferences in the absence of the President.
  • Maintain communications with the Executive Director and staff and respond to the Board inquiries.
  • Supervise budgetary matters and proper internal control of finances in cooperation with the Treasurer.

This position is elected to the Board of Directors bi-annually. The Board meets the 3rd Thursday of each month from 11:30AM - 1:00PM at the World Trade Center Seattle. Candidate must be a member in good standing to join the board. Annual membership dues of $125 required.

Our mission is to equip stakeholders with financial resources that promote the economic empowerment of youth and BIPOC communities at large. The Foundation also fiscally sponsor community organizations and projects, offers scholarships to individuals, entrepreneurship, and economic development programs.

Description

The objectives of this Corporation shall be, to engage in any lawful act or activity such as any corporation organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Specifically, the objectives of this Corporation shall be:

  • To promote economic development and provide technical, educational, and advisory assistance to economically disadvantaged communities.
  • To provide scholarships to college-bound students from economically disadvantaged communities who have expressed an interest in the financial services industry.
  • To help educate and inform youth about the employment opportunities available in the financial services industry.
