Interested in gaining invaluable experience working as a support partner with homeless 18-25 yr olds? The Arcadia Young Adult Shelter serves males and females who are currently homeless in the south king county area. Shelter operates between 9pm and 7am . Shelter support partners assist the Shelter monitor in making sure our Young Adults basic needs are met, and offer support as they begin the process of transitioning from Street dependence to independence. Shelter support partner shifts are from 9pm to 11pm . We ask that all those interested make at least a 6 month commitment and come in once every other week, this helps provide our youth with needed consistency.

Mission Statement
Our Mission
With the belief that every young person should be given the opportunity to grow and progress to their fullest potential, our professional and compassionate staff provide a continuum of programs and services to our evolving and diverse regional community.
Description
Our Philosophy
It is our belief that every child should be given the opportunity to grow and progress to the fullest of their potential. All of the many programs and services delivered by AYR & EYFS are based on a multi-systemic approach that acknowledges that individuals are inextricably parts of systems and the health and well-being of an individual is tied to and ultimately affected by the health and well-being of the entire system. In utilizing this approach, we often work not only with children and families but also with neighborhoods, schools, communities, other social service agencies and other significant people in the youth and family’s life. Our services are focused on building upon the strengths, assets and competencies of the families we serve.
