When food needs to be inspected after it’s donated, where does it go? To the Food Bank’s Product Rescue Center! And there’s no way we could inspect, sort and pack all that food without volunteers.
The Product Rescue Center provides great hands-on experience in a diverse and social atmosphere. It's ideal for groups of up to 25 people ages eight and up, as well as individuals, families and friends! Often, multiple groups and individuals are combined to form a single shift, offering the opportunity for your group to meet other groups interested in serving the community.
Note: This recruitment is specifically for our 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM volunteer shift. We need your support, hope to see you soon!

Mission Statement
Our mission is to fight hunger by engaging, educating and empowering our community. While our core work is food distribution, our efforts extend far beyond that. Our mission is lived out every day by engaging, educating and empowering both people in need and those who want to help. From volunteering your time to assisting people in finding economic security, the Food Bank covers a wide range of opportunities for people to learn and get involved.
Description
We utilize more than 1,700 volunteers a month, over 150 staff members, a large fleet of trucks and the largest food banking facility in the United States to procure and distribute food and grocery items received from hundreds of donors. Our donors include manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, brokers, restaurants, food drives, farmers and individuals. The product is easily accessed by our partner agencies. They place their orders online and arrange for pick up or delivery. Once the food arrives at the agency, it is provided to families and individuals in need.
