Title: Director of Gratitude
Purpose: To foster good stewardship.
Status: Volunteer: 8 hours/week
Report To: Executive Director
Function: Ensures high quality, personalized expressions of gratitude for gifts of time, talent or treasure on behalf of the families, staff, and board of RMHC North Central Florida.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend volunteer orientation, trainings and periodic refresher sessions.
- Attend RMHC-Global Webinar: Welcome to RMHC.
- Record financial and in kind donations in donor management database with attention to detail.
- Write, prepare, and mail thank you letters and notes.
- Prepare special thank you certificates, collages, and other personalized expressions of gratitude for special donors, groups, organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Organize and oversee annual "thank-a- thon" in January to acknowledge via telephone major gift donors. C
- oordinate and oversee donor acknowledgement wall including ordering plaques and coordinating installation.
- Assist in the planning of House and Family Room tours for special stakeholders.
- Assist in the planning of the annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch.
Qualifications:
- Ability to commit to a regular schedule of two days per week with scheduled time off.
- Volume of work increases significantly in November-January. The ability to coordinate the efforts of others including temporary staff would be helpful.
- Ability to collaborate with program staff.
- Ability to operate office equipment, i.e., printer, copier, scanner and fax machine.
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word (especially mail merge), Outlook, and Excel.
- General comfort with technology including troubleshooting issues and learning new programs and processes.
- Attention to detail.
- Must work well independently and with minimal supervision.
- Good penmanship.

Description
OUR TWO MAIN PROGRAMS
Ronald McDonald House in Gainesville, Florida provides temporary housing, basic amenities and support to families with critically ill children being treated at area medical facilities.
Ronald McDonald Family Room located at Shands UF Children's Hospital on the 10th floor, adjacent to the pediatric intensive care unit, provides comfort and support to local families who do not need to stay overnight at the Ronald McDonald House, or to out-of-town families who choose not to leave the hospital because of the fragile condition of their child.
