Goodwill GoodGuides

Goodwill of the Coastal Empire is seeking mentors for the Goodwill GoodGuides Program.

  • One on One/Individual: More personal level of Mentoring (21 years old)
  • Peer to Peer: Allows students to assist their peers (16-20 years old)
  • Group: One or Two Mentors to Four or Eight Mentees (21 years old)

When young people don’t see a path to employment for themselves, and when they’re not aware of an array of available future career choices, they are much less likely to invest their energies in school. They’re also much more likely to adopt risky or delinquent behaviors and ultimately experience chronic unemployment.

Apply online at:

http://gcevolunteers.applicantpro.com/

Conversely, young people who are engaged with positive role models and equipped to navigate careers are more likely to see school as relevant, complete high school and post-secondary credentials, and transition to employment that launches careers. When young people are told they can succeed, they do.

When you give to Goodwill, you're opening doors to employment, independence, and opportunity for people in your community. Your charitable gifts to Goodwill provide job training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities; people who want to work, so they can earn a living, support their families, and enjoy the benefits that independence, self-sufficiency, and personal contribution afford.

At Goodwill, we believe work builds strong families, and creates the economic energy that builds strong communities. And at Goodwill, everything - from your donations, to the revenue they generate, to the specialized training it provides - everything stays in the community.
