WANT TO USE YOUR ACCOUNTING SKILLS AND GIVE BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY? HELP US! Become part of our Board of Directors!
We are a small non-profit boutique (501(c)3 status pending) whose mission is to offer reduced priced designer bridal gowns and accessories for women on a budget in a relaxed atmosphere of supportive and knowledgeable volunteers, while contributing to other non profit charities. Net proceeds are donated to Rockville H.S. Students for scholarships to Montgomery College, Suited for Change, and other charities focused on empowering women locally and around the world.
You will update and input all financial data, file tax forms and make recommendations on best practices to optimize our efficiency. Great opportunity if you are looking to gain experience in the accounting for NPO and give back to the community.
Who we are looking for
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
Experience in a non-profit setting and knowledge of 501(c)3
Excellent communication.
Solid Excel skills.

Fairytale Brides on a Shoestring Boutique, Inc. is a D.M.V area non-profit Bridal Shop offering reduced prices for bridal gowns and accessories in an relaxed yet supportive atmosphere. This full service boutique helps Brides to achieve the wedding of their dreams while keeping the emphasis on the wedding couple and not an unmanageable expense. All proceeds collected will go towards empowering other women both here and abroad.
Description
We are a group of innovative, educated, and talented women who are interested in working with Bridal families on a low budget at our beautiful brand new shop in Rockville. We work with donated items. We are interested in many more volunteers who believe in serving our community.
