We need volunteers to supervise gleaners at farms one day per month. It's simple and fun, and we will train you in the field. The farms are 20-45 minutes from the greater KC area. The gleanings last 3 hours. You will meet with the farmer before the gleaners arrive so that you can tell them what they'll be picking and how to pick it. We will provide you with a list of pantries that the volunteers can take the produce to, and you will report back to us how many bags were picked and where they were distributed. We really need you! I can only lead one glean at a time, but there are many farms that need us to glean. Can you help me, please?

After the Harvest rescues nutritious fruits and vegetables from going to waste and donates them to agencies that serve hungry people, primarily in Greater Kansas City.
Description
Our volunteers glean after the harvest, picking what’s left in farmers’ fields and picking up already harvested leftover produce and distributing them to local food pantries and food banks that serve the great KC metro. After the Harvest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
