We are looking for a volunteer to teach literacy in Spanish one or two evenings a week at immigrant community center in Homestead. Students are Latin American immigrant workers, men and women. Rewarding work. Will train.

WeCount! seeks to build the power of Latin American immigrants and farm workers in Homestead,Florida to fulfill their aspirations of justice and equality through education, leadership development, cultural work, coalition-building and organizing.

Description

WeCount! is a membership organization of immigrants and farm workers in Homestead. Our center in located in downtown Homestead.

WeCount!'s organizing is mainly around worker and immigrant rights. Our education activities include classes in ESL, Computer Literacy and Literacy in Spanish; workshops on occupational safety and health, worker rights and immigrant rights; and workshops in leadership development.
