Mission Statement

Every Day is a Miracle is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that dedicates its efforts to helping low-income families overcome socio-economic difficulties, improve quality of life, and become productive citizens.

Description

Since 2008, Every Day is a Miracle has stood as a pillar of hope in the heart of the South Bronx. What began as a group of people distributing bags of food to 60 hungry families each month has grown to become a multi-faceted attack on poverty impacting over 4,000 individuals every month through emergency food supplies, SNAP screenings, social service referrals, and valuable educational programs. We operate through four core programs:

I. Food Relief Assistance Program: Through our client choice food pantry model, visitors select food items based on their individual preferences and dietary restrictions.

II. Health and Wellness Program: We offer hands-on exercises concerning physical fitness and self-assessments for a range of diseases commonly plaguing members of our community.

III. Adult Enrichment and Case Management Services: Staff offer job readiness assistance, SNAP screenings, and help with government benefits applications. we can provide our clients with a myriad of much needed benefits ranging from income tax assistance to computer classes via direct referrals.

IV. Financial Literacy Program: Through individual counseling and group sessions on money-management, the Financial Literacy Program is bridging the gap to economic stability.
