Job Title: Public Relations and Marketing Intern Salary Range: This is an unpaid internship. See School for credit or hour requirements. Department: Marketing and Public Relations Reports to: The Director of Communications and Executive Director of Programs and with frequent collaboration with president of the board.

Summary: The Morlock Foundation seeks a Public Relations and Marketing Intern who is excited to apply their academic knowledge to real-world writing, media relations, marketing and promotions scenarios. Duties may include writing PR materials or marketing copy including press releases, website copy, coordinating program books and specialty publications, managing PR archives and photo resources, coordinating guests for live radio broadcasts, preparing media kits, planning special events or promotions, working with other departments to improve communication efforts, interacting with outside design vendors and members of the media, assisting with social media outreach efforts with possible opportunities for filming, interviewing and editing video, and collecting research and assisting the foundation’s overall marketing and PR campaigns.
Minimum Job Requirements: This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, proof-reading skills, the ability to work to deadlines and effectively multi-task. Some knowledge and a love of classical music and/or an interest in a career in the non-profit arts is highly regarded. Candidates pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing or another related field strongly preferred.
Working Conditions: The position is considered an unpaid internship and requires 12-20 hours a week . The intern will be provided with all tools necessary to complete job requirements. While the majority of the position duties will be completed in the office, some events may be required outside the office. Some small amounts of driving may be required to review events and or programs.

Food Pantry: Running one food pantry in Williamsville, New York and serving the surrounding area.

Community Awareness and Preparedness:
The awareness program:working in our community to make the community aware of issues and helping to make a difference with the issues.

The preparedness program: working to make our community safe, knowledgable, prepared for disaster.

F.O.C.U.S: Helping children who age out of fostercare to have life long relationships to help them not become one of the 70% who end up in the hospital, in jail or on the streets.

Voiceless TPR Rule: (formerly Samantha's Rule) working to make a difference for children (voiceless) to be protected when receiving an order of protection.

AmberLena Kincare: provide kin to care for a child upon need.
