Join us Saturday, September 27, as a volunteer at the Chicago O2 Glow Night Walk in the Twin Lake Park in Palatine, IL. Pulmonary Hyptertension Association (PHA) Midwest Chapter needs your help with tasks including, but not limited to, registration, set-up, and course marshalls. Volunteers are needed from approximately 5:30pm - 9pm. We are looking for volunteers that are 16 and over. http://www.o2breathe.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1102196

Our mission is to extend and improve the lives of those affected by PH.
Description
PHA Midwest Chapter raises awareness and funds in support of the PHA mission through cause-related special events, and major gifts both corporate and private. High blood pressure in the lungs is called pulmonary hypertension (PH) or pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). PAH is a chronic and life-changing disease that can lead to right heart failure if left untreated. Every person affected either directly or indirectly by this breath-robbing disease benefits from this magnificent work.
We are a young organization that is changing the history of an illness. From simple beginnings -- four women around a kitchen table in Florida in 1990 -- PHA has evolved in size and complexity. While we have grown, PHA has stayed true to our roots and the vision and ingenuity of our founders. We continue to work every day to end isolation, provide education, involve our constituents in everything we do, and find a cure for pulmonary hypertension.
