ORGANIZATION: Volunteers of America Texas

Volunteers of America Texas is in search of a passionate and energetic leader to organize ice cream socials for our clients at Dalgreen, a group home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities!

The ice cream social coordinator will help facilitate a fun activity for the residents of the facility. They will be responsible for set up, distributing ice cream, engaging with the residents and clean up. This is an opportunity to hold a fun, social activity for the residents. It allows them to socialize with other residents in the home, interact with a new face and enjoy themselves and ice cream. This event will give them an activity to look forward to each month and vary up their routine.

Volunteers with previous experience with or interest in planning events, and desire to work with disabled adults are welcome to apply.
