Mission Statement

Answering the cries of needy children

The Mission of this volunteer-based nonprofit charity is to help bandage the big and little hurts of children afflicted by hunger, war, terrorism, and disasters anywhere in the world, without regard to race, creed, religion or politics. Services to children ignored by governments and abandoned by society shall be in the form of food, health, education, disaster recovery, research, plus love and kindness.

In recognition that many of the world's problems are too large for just one organization to make a difference, a primary mission of this Foundation is to develop collaborative approaches to obtain linkage between various programs to create improved services through comprehensiveness, thereby utilizing leverage to produce maximum aid to serve as a catalyst for improvement in the world. Where void niches exist between non-governmental organizations, this Foundation may develop new programs or help create, incubate, and foster new, non-profit organizations. Creation and development of such new charities throughout the world may be accomplished through grants or loans from the Foundation.

The Foundation shall give donors involvement and ownership through their selections of very specific ways in which their contributions are utilized. This organization accepts volunteerism, donations, grants, in-kind assistance, and project contracts from the general public, corporations, churches, charities, and government. Accountability is essential.

Description

We are a multi-faceted foudation that, in addition to running a Volunteer Farm, also responds to disaster affecting children around the world.

The Volunteer Farm aspect of the WFC grows fresh, healthy vegetables to augment the standard offerings of prepared and canned foods offered by Food Banks throughout Virginia. The produce is generated from planting through harvest, primarily by volunteer labor.
