We are looking for volunteers at our Scottsdale location, located inside Scottsdale Fashiobn Square-Trendy Pet and Rescue. the store allows rescue groups to bring in adoptable animals during store hours.

We are looking to staff the store during the month of DECEMBER for the holidays. Our goal is to be there Wednesday through Sunday, during store hours, so Variety of shifts are available. This is an excellent opportunity for those college students needing volunteer hours to complete them during Christmas break.

Volunteers set up kennels, walk the dogs and give them potty breaks, interact with the customers, answer questions, once comfortable assist with the adoption process.

No experience is necessary, but excellent customer service skills and professionalism are a must!Oour volunteers are a vital part or our rescue mission. The more animals who are adopted and find homes the more we can rescue from the shelters. Fosters and volunteers save lives!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to reduce euthanasia of adoptable animals in high kill shelters by providing quality veterinary care and foster homes while animals await their forever families. Our focus is on senior and special needs, and those who are most overlooked.

Description

We are an all foster based organization, all animals live in foster homes, with families, which enables us to get to know the animal and their behaviors. This in turn provides us with a better ability to match that animal with a forever family.

Our focus is on the animals in danger of being euthanized vs. rescuing the adoptable animals in shelters. If after a full veterinary evaluation, if that animal is determined to be unadoptable, he/she will remain in her foster home as a "forever foster", be provided with any neciessary medical care, until it is determined that they should be humanely euthanized. They remain in foster care as long as there is a good quality of life, and the animal is not in pain or suffering.
