Howl-O-Ween is a four-night family-oriented Halloween event at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo. Opportunities include:

Floating Monsters: These are specific characters that wander the grounds in costumes or with special props. Their main function is to entertain guests in lines, be available for photographs & provide atmosphere. Costumes will be provided & there are speaking and non-speaking roles.

Haunt Monsters: These are characters stationed in our haunted Farmyard & Greenhouse. Costumes will be provided and there are speaking and non-speaking roles.

Hayride Actors and Tour Guides- Acting experience PREFERRED and a FOUR NIGHT COMMITMENT is mandatory. Each stop on the hayride is 2-5 minute scene. Tour guides narrate and guide the guests over the course of the journey. Additional practices may be required.

Support staff: Volunteers to monitor lines, assist people on and off the hayride, hand out candy, greet people at haunts, and assist in keeping people in designated areas.

Description

Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is a wonderful place to visit - alone or with your family. Spend an hour or the whole day and see more than 300 animals representing primarily North and South American species. Come learn about our many endangered and threatened species, which include the Amur (Siberian) tiger, Andean condor, Ocelot, Red wolf, Maned wolf, and Golden lion tamarin.
