Are you looking for a summer volunteer opportunity? Do you enjoy the arts? We are looking for youth volunteers to join our team this summer at Hope Center for the Arts in Anaheim. We are a fine arts program for adults with intellectual disabilities, offering classes in both the visual and performing arts.
As a youth volunteer there are many ways that you can help our organization this summer. All opportunities are during our program hours, Monday - Friday 8:30am-2:30pm. Here are just a few of the ways you can help at Hope:
- Assist teaching staff with preparation of materials for classes.
- Tutoring students in academic classes; including math, handwriting, and computers.
- Assisting with Hope Handmade, our line of handmade items that we sell to raise funds and awareness for the program.
- Assisting with office and clerical tasks.
- Helping with lunch time chores, like assisting students to use microwaves, working at our student store, whipping down table, etc.
- And so much more!
While you help us further our mission to transform the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities through the arts you will gain a lot of valuable experience working with this special group of people. Whether you are looking to gain experience for a future career in the arts or working with people with disabilities or you just want to do something good for you community you will find what you are looking at Hope Center for the Arts.

Through the arts, we transform the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities.
Description
We are a multi-faceted fine arts program for adults with intellectual disabilities designed to serve individuals showing talent, interest or motivation in the arts. Our teaching staff consists of artists, performers, and creative art therapists who bring a collaborative approach to working with this special population.
HOPE serves adults aged twenty-two years and above with developmental and intellectual disabilities such as, but not limited to: Autism, Down Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, Savant Syndrome among many others . We are a multi-faceted visual and performing arts program designed to serve individuals discovering and displaying their talent, interest and motivation within the arts. Our program is excited to offer our artists a variety of classes for everyone to reach their full potential .
