If you have an open heart and wish to help someone in one of their most vulnerable times of their lives, volunteer for hospice. In the time you're with your patient, you will learn more about yourself and what it is to be human.
Volunteers are a part of our hospice team and provide supportive emotional, spiritual, and other services to patients of all ages and families who are facing difficulties at the end of life. Many of our volunteers are family members who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Help us create "Caring Circles of Care" for individuals who are entering the final stages of life. Opportunities for deeply appreciated services include providing: Companionship, Spiritual Support, Socialization, Respite for Family Members and Bedside Vigils
Kindred at Home Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical care for people of all ages in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, with an emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms. The program is reflective of a spirit and idea of caring that emphasizes comfort and dignity for the dying, making it possible for them to remain independent for as long as possible and in familiar surroundings. Patients live throughout Marin, Napa and Sonoma Counties. Hospice care is centered on both the patient and family. Hospice personnel respect and respond to the unique differences in family , lifestyle, culture, values and wishes.
