This is a fun and rewarding opportunity for the right person. Your assistance is needed one day per week!

Volunteer Food Pantry Supervisor needed to facilitate and manage food pantry distribution. Your duties will include managing volunteers, following strick USDA guidelines. You will oversee, coordinate and assist with pick-up and delivery of food, packaging of food and distribution of food, etc. Must have a great attitude and spirit! Must be able to get along with people (volunteers and clients).

If you want to make a difference and provide direct assistance and value to clients in need, this is the position for you!

Must be available:

Every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month - 12 noon to 3pm

Every 4th Wednesday of the month - 8am to 12noon

Help Me Help You is a community based non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting homeless and low income families and individuals by increasing access to food, public benefits, economic security, and affordable housing. Our work reduces hunger and poverty, improves nutrition and health, and boost family economic security. Programs target homeless and disadvantaged families and individuals, including seniors, disables individuals, single mothers, veterans and youth.

Description

The current charitable program include:

  • Our weekly Food Pantry program which distributes free nutritious food to more than 3,000 homeless and low-income youth and adults.
  • Public Benefits Enrollment Assistance (CalFresh, MediCal, SSI/SSDI)
  • Weekly Financial literacy courses
  • Health Education
  • Women's Empowerment Seminars
  • Fashion Show benefit
  • Charity Golf Tournament
  • Annual Christmas Program which includes a toy-drive, turkey and ham distribution, clothing and shoe distribution, etc.
